Chapter 71 Critical Point
Chapter 71 Critical Point
Arthur kept a cold face, but still softened the holy light.
Her palm was placed on Chu Sheng's chest, and strands of holy light entered his body, first gathering the chaotic golden light spots, and then slowly pushing them towards his heart.
Amber reached out from the other side, placing her palm on Chu Sheng's lower abdomen, using the power of the Sacred Tree to lift the outer edge of the Holy Light, assisting him from the side.
Chu Sheng finally breathed a sigh of relief.
To stabilize the Holy Light, Arthur pressed his body against Chu Sheng's, placing one hand on Chu Sheng's chest and the other around his back, lying on his right side.
The nightgown was squeezed and clung to her body, and her full breasts pressed against Chu Sheng's right arm.
In order to maintain her magic, Amber also approached from the left.
She was taller than Arthur, and her curves were even more pronounced when she lay on her side. One of her arms went under Chu Sheng's waist, her palm resting on his back.
Chu Sheng was stuck in the middle, unable to move to either side.
It sounds exciting, but in reality, he was about to die.
"You..." Chu Sheng's voice trembled, "Have you ever considered that I need to breathe?"
Amber immediately relaxed a little: "Sorry."
Arthur moved away slightly: "You're too weak."
Chu Sheng closed his eyes and began counting the dogs.
An Ella.
Two Ellas.
Three Ellas.
No, Ella isn't exactly a picture of detachment from worldly desires.
He changed the number of emperors throughout the empire's history.
George I, Virgil III...
Oh no, he only remembers those two.
Chu Sheng opened his eyes. The leaf-vein lamp on the ceiling cast a soft glow. His body was still burning hot, but the pain was being gradually suppressed by two forces.
It's amazing.
The two forces that were originally mutually exclusive began to form a temporary balance under the guidance of Arthur and Amber.
Chu Sheng could feel a warm current flowing through his blood. The burning sensation slowly faded, replaced by a tingling numbness after exhaustion.
Arthur also noticed the change: "It works."
Amber nodded: "His body is very strange. Logically speaking, ordinary humans cannot bear these powers."
Chu Sheng's heart stirred upon hearing this.
Strategy guide.
He is no longer a purely ordinary person. The slime's traits, the various enhancements to his energy defense and attack, as well as Arthur's Holy Light Contract and Ambermin's Elf Contract are all piled into this body.
It's like installing a dozen or so AAA games on a cheap 1080p computer, only to find out it's going to crash when you start it up.
Chu Sheng suddenly understood how this rejection had come about.
It wasn't simply a conflict between holy light and elven magic; his body had reached a critical point.
"Chu Sheng," Arthur suddenly spoke.
"Um?"
"Have you been using some strange ability recklessly again lately?"
Chu Sheng's eyes flickered: "Why do you ask that?"
"There are many traces of non-humans in your body." Arthur closed his eyes, carefully sensing the flow of holy light. "Dog people, cat people, slimes, and the mental fluctuations of the undead."
Chu Sheng's face stiffened. The Holy Light even had a physical examination function?
Amber's fingers paused slightly on his abdomen: "That's true."
Chu Sheng gave a dry laugh: "Maybe it's because I'm a more tolerant person."
Arthur opened his eyes and looked at him: "Tell the truth."
"You might not believe me if I tell you the truth," Chu Sheng sighed. "I have a special ability: I can learn anything I see."
Arthur said coldly, "Do you think I would believe such nonsense?"
Chu Sheng looked at Amber.
Amber looked at him gently: "I believe you."
Chu Sheng was instantly moved: "Your Majesty, you are truly..."
Arthur interrupted calmly, "Then I believe it too."
"Your statement is somewhat biased."
Arthur didn't deny it. She lay on her side to Chu Sheng's right, looking down at him. This position made her less of a knightly demeanor and more of an inexplicable sense of homeliness.
Her platinum blonde hair was spread out on the pillow, her cheeks were flushed from the heat, and the neckline of her nightgown was slightly deformed from being turned to the side.
Amber gently smoothed the magic from Chu's back on the left. Her touch was much gentler, each stroke like stroking a wounded animal.
"You're being too reckless," Amber said in a low voice.
"I didn't want to either," Chu Sheng said helplessly. "Most of the time, things push me along. When have I ever actively sought trouble?"
"You're not allowed to act tough on your own anymore," Arthur said after a moment of silence.
"That won't do." Chu Sheng blinked. "How can the plot move forward if the male lead doesn't take action?"
Amber's fingertips slid across Chu Sheng's back, the magic seeping into his body with her movement. She whispered, "With his personality, he probably won't stay obediently."
Arthur sighed as well, a strange sense of shared parental sympathy creeping in: "That's why it's so troublesome."
"You two shouldn't criticize the patient in front of them," Chu Sheng said weakly, raising his hand. "It's not good for the treatment."
"Then don't speak," Arthur said.
Amber gently pressed his shoulder: "Close your eyes and keep breathing."
Chu Sheng had no choice but to close his eyes.
Inhale, and the holy light recedes inward.
Exhale, and the magic spreads outward.
Round after round.
Chu Sheng didn't know how much time had passed before the burning sensation in his body was finally brought under control to a tolerable level, but his situation was becoming increasingly precarious.
In order to control their powers, Amber and Arthur had to stay very close together.
Although the bed was not small, it felt cramped because the other two people were so tall. Chu Sheng was forced to lie flat in the middle, with tall, mature bodies pressing tightly against him on either side.
Arthur's body temperature was higher than usual, and holy light flowed within her, carrying a slight heat.
Amber, on the other hand, was as gentle as a pool of warm water. Her mature and voluptuous curves occupied most of the space on the left side of the bed, and Chu Sheng would sink into them with the slightest movement.
Chu Sheng opened his eyes, his expression blank.
"You're thinking strange things again," Arthur said with his eyes closed.
Chu Sheng was startled: "How did you know?"
Your mind is in turmoil.
Chu Sheng quickly cleared his mind.
But then the skill "Wa Xue Di is here" popped up out of nowhere.
It's definitely not that he wanted to call for his mother.
From the moment Amber held him in her arms, he had been secretly looking for an opportunity. But after Arthur arrived, the situation became even more complicated.
Now that he has a mature woman lying on each side of him, how could he not make a sound?
Chu Sheng pondered for a long time and decided to wait a little longer.
Arthur opened his eyes and saw his eyes darting around: "What mischief are you up to now?"
"I'm wondering when my body will get better."
"Really?"
"Really," Chu Sheng said sincerely, "I wouldn't have the mind to do anything like that."
Amber suddenly raised her hand, her fingertips brushing the sweat from his forehead: "Does it still hurt?"
"Much better," Chu Sheng said softly.
Arthur glanced at him and reached out to adjust his position to prevent his arm from going numb.
Chu Sheng suddenly felt a little touched; he had never really felt safe in this world.
Time travel, strategy guides, Warcraft, heroes, empires, the Sacred Tree Forest—everything is lively, and there are always people causing chaos around you.
The more lively the scene, the clearer he became about how incompetent he was.
Whether it's a manticore, a shapeshifter, or a chinaberry, if there's even the slightest mistake or a lack of luck, he'll meet his end.
