Infinite Paths: The Raging Phoenix

Chapter 699 Acid rain

Chapter 699 Acid rain

Rain's legs, swollen and fiery red, strained against the confines of his boots, their usual contours distorted by the inflammation. The discomfort was palpable, and the unsettling realization of his condition gripped him, adding a layer of apprehension to the already dire situation.@@@@

"... This is what I get from going overboard... but at least I achieve my goal, the rest is up to you, guys" Rain thought.

Rain sacrificed his legs, but half of the enemies were killed before they could reach the capital... fighting agaisnt fifty or so leviathan dragons would be hard, but the warriors and soldiers of the Capital began to move with in mind.

The warriors of the Raging Phoenix split into fifty groups as well... each only only had thirty of them and it didn't seem much against the gargantuan beasts, but it didn't matter... It was do or die.

Rain activated the third and second seal while the first kept helping his legs. Almost half of the mana that Terra had accumulated in the last few days has been used already and it was hard to imagine that the other half would make Rain being able to stand.

It looked like the leviathan dragons realized that as well since some of them began to jump toward him, even though he was five kilometers away from the capital.

Some warriors of the raging Phoenix tried to stop those creatures and the beasts didn't even pay attention to them, they just jumped and fell over the beasts.

Naturally, the beast assumed that those creatures had been killed, but instead of it, the dragons felt a sharp and cold pain in their bodies... the cold started to increase and forced the monsters to jump away. Soon enough, they found the warriors with their shields raised and their spears drenched in the dragon's blood... they just gave their all to keep their formation and that worked well.

Rain was already drinking potions and also using the spell that made him recover from the explosions that destroyed most of his skin in the war agaisnt Joanis, but that stillw wasn't enough if compared to the healing abilities of Terra's seal.

Rain tried to stand up, but his legs soon gave up... maybe he should wait there since the warriors managed to get the attention of the dragons and left him alone, but Rain didn't want that.

After considering many options, Rain decided to do something unusual, something that he never tried before. In the middle of the fierce fight against the massive leviathan dragons, Rain decided to get creative with his magic. Rain started by summoning thick, dark rain clouds. These clouds were packed with magical energy, just waiting to wreak havoc on the colossal dragons below.

Rain brought his fire magic into play, adding a touch of intense heat to the mix. The clouds, now superheated, were the perfect canvas for Rain's next move. Using his earth magic, he sprinkled in some fine metallic dust – like a magical seasoning for the impending storm.

But Rain wasn't done yet. With a smooth transition back to water magic, he cooled down the concoction. What he ended up with was a deadly rain, not your ordinary shower. This rain had turned into a corrosive acid, thanks to the magical alchemy and components happening in those clouds.

At first, the dragons had brushed it off as just another part of the chaotic battlefield. But when that corrosive rain started eating through their tough scales, the dragons quickly realized they were in for a nasty surprise.

In the thick of the battle, Rain continued to control and adapt his acid rain attack. He made sure it hit the dragons where it hurt without causing harm to the surroundings or his allies. The once-mighty dragons, now vulnerable and struggling, faced an unexpected magical assault – all thanks to Rain's clever thinking and mastery over the elements.

Acid magic wasn't a thing in that world yet, so no one knew what Rain had done, bu the smell on the area made them understand that it was something very nasty...
