Infinite Paths: The Raging Phoenix

Chapter 578 Shadow

Chapter 578 Shadow

When Rain landed on the floor, he used Impulse again and again... he had already crossed half of the distance when the first sea Dragon noticed that something was happening... when he reached the middle of the base, the sea dragons only found a path of air that he left behind and the movements of the water.

The sea dragons only realized that something insane was happening when their entire base began to tremble and vibrate... it was insane to think of that, but they actually had been invaded, something unheard of in their vast history.

When the sea dragons found Rain, he was punching and cracking the ground where their treasures were supposed to be... all the dragons panicked when they saw that and immediately began to charge at Rain.

When he had arrived there, Rain actually quickly found the spear quickly inserted in some kind of slot... it was some sort of weird vault covered in coral. There were two other relics there, aside from the spear, Rain found a shield and an armor. But what truly caught his attention was the vault itself... after a punches and getting rid of enough coral, Rain found that it was a black and giant cube.

"What the hell..." Rain frowned.

Amidst the underwater realm, the mysterious black cube stood as a stark and imposing enigma. Its presence was undeniably suspicious in the otherwise serene and otherworldly surroundings. As Rain launched a series of powerful punches at the weird cube, it became evident that this unassuming object possessed extraordinary resilience.

Rain's fists struck the black cube with remarkable force, the impact creating shockwaves in the water, but the cube remained unscathed. Not a single dent, scratch, or blemish marred its surface. It was as if the cube was forged from an indestructible material, immune to Rain's efforts to break through its suspicious exterior.

While Rain's punches left the cube seemingly unscathed, the three relics that had been carefully placed within the slots surrounding the cube were not immune to the forces at play. As Rain continued his relentless assault on the cube, the relics began to slowly and inexorably shift away from their designated positions.

The relics, as if responding to the magical resonance created by Rain's actions, started to inch away from the slots that had held them securely. It was a gradual and deliberate process, as if the relics themselves were being compelled by some unknown force.

An unknown skill received 50.000 experience points.

An unknown path leveled up.

An unknown skill received 50.000 experience points.

An unknown path leveled up.

...

Rain was confused when he heard that, but his confusion only got worse as his vision darkened, he clearly could see a shadow taking over his eyes.

As Rain felt the ominous shadow attempting to envelop his being, a surge of instinctual alarm passed through him. Every fiber of his being seemed to scream out in warning, urging him to resist and fight back against the encroaching darkness. It was a primal, gut-deep response that compelled him to act in self-preservation.

With focus, Rain summoned his willpower, an inner strength born of his experiences and resolve. Though he didn't entirely understand what he was doing or the nature of the dark force that threatened to overtake him, he channeled all his mental and emotional strength to resist it.

The struggle was terrible and very intense, like a battle waged within the depths of his soul. Rain grappled with the menacing shadow, fighting to maintain control over his own body and mind...
