Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 4206 Resort Palace

Chapter 4206 Resort Palace

Chapter 4206 Resort Palace

The palace resort stood alone like a solitary pillar on the outskirts of the city, nestled in between the embrace of mist-laden mountains and flowing spirit water, all containing a high concentration of heaven and earth energy enough to empower Empyreans just like in the main palace above the Realm Core but a bit lesser.

This palace resort existed above a lake, fed by a series of cascading waterfalls that tumbled down from the terraced mountain edges. Stone pathways and bridges adorned the water's surface and edges. Lotus blossoms floated gently, their delicate pearls opening toward the sunlight while small fishes that could be considered as a rare Empyrean Grade resource glided beneath like flickering gems.

These lifeforms did not pose a threat since they were unable to defend themselves from lacking strength, but their blood and other resources were deemed valuable because they went along with certain pill recipes and other valuable works, not to mention they were also used as decoration in these kinds of living space to enrich aesthetics.

Nonetheless, to the rear of the palace, the water did not simply stop flowing. They vanished into a hidden valley, plunging into a grand waterfall that roared towards the basin with untamed majesty. At the edge of the waterfall above, a person stood in a pavilion and looked ahead into the valley, enjoying the dreamlike scenery of distant mountains, having their peaks shrouded in mist, pine, and willow trees lazily swaying in the breeze.

At this moment, he turned to look around and saw the Divine Emperor of Death appear along with the women he called wives. They populated the area, simply playing with the surrounding flora and fauna without a care in the world, while the Divine Emperor of Death approached him with two women.

His heart shook as he looked at the new Whispering Wildlands Realm Master. The power she held couldn't be seen through, making him take another look at everyone else as he felt that they couldn't be ordinary.

He was starting to understand perhaps each one of them was a monster created by the Divine Emperor of Death.

"Nice place you got here. It would be a pity if I were to take it."

Davis came barging in as though he owned the place and stood beside Esmond Stavenger while overlooking the valley. He looked ahead with bright eyes and took a deep breath. The air here was wonderful and natural, a stark difference from their home.

Tina also couldn't help but look around like a bumpkin. She wanted to play here with her sisters but needed to maintain a semblance of being a Realm Master for appearance's sake. Nonetheless, she couldn't help but feel this was an extremely nice place to live.

Back in the Second Void Dust Sanctuary, the air tasted a bit like space, not that it could be easily differentiated, but they could tell there was a stark difference between something produced naturally and something that gets molded by the Void Dust Space.

They preferred this heaven and earth energy over the Void Dust Space's energy. However, it wasn't like they blamed Stella. It was only because of her that they had a safe space to live. Compared to survival, tasting a different heaven and earth energy was nothing.

It was probable that if they lived there for thousands of years, the next generations would even become more proficient in Space Laws due to the surroundings. This was a slow process and a fine trade-off for not breathing in natural heaven and earth energy.

Countless heads from many powers would love to have a chance to live and breed there just to improve proficiency in Space Laws.

Regardless, Tina knew she wouldn't trade the Void Dust Sanctuaries for this nice and cozy environment. She managed to regain her composure and looked at the two men.

Only Illumina maintained her serious look from the beginning to the end as though she was on guard duty eternally. As a former imperial guard for an empire, she had seen tons of resorts like these. It was a place for relaxing on one end or even engaging in debauchery on the other end.

Esmond Stavenger's heart skipped a beat as he stared at the Gilded Realm Ascendant Pill, but hearing that he would be killed, he looked away and grumbled.

"I'd rather not have it in my hands at the time being then. As a former Realm Master, I'm really lacking when it comes to having patience because I get everything I want."

"Hahaha."

Davis couldn't help but laugh. He felt this Realm Master was not dislikeable.

For one, Esmond Stavenger wasn't deep into hypocrisy and knew he was doing wrong in his own realm to keep things in a perpetual state of warfare. That was how his bloodline thrived from time immemorial, and perhaps that's why he was also able to look past his mystical status as an Anarchic Divergent.

"Well, keep an eye on your subordinates. If they fail you, don't blame me for being ruthless. As for the secrets of the Realm Core, it is not something anyone can access, not even me. It is better if you don't look into it from mere curiosity or tasteless greed."

"I understand."

Esmond Stavenger nodded.

He understood that he was being told not to pry into it. Otherwise, there would be terrifying consequences.

Davis was done with his warnings, but he remained there for a while to simply bask in this wonderful atmosphere. It was a pity that he couldn't have it even with trade. Otherwise, it would be seen as giving an inch and taking a yard. If he expected more, Esmond Stavenger would surely retaliate.

He also asked about the general situation in the Whispering Wildlands Lower Realm, including the movements of the Heaven's Warriors.

Apparently, they were mostly stationed in the area where Grand Elder Arys Duskbane previously mentioned, ready to set out at the slightest mention of him and his allies in order to investigate. They were vigilant and were working together with the Whispering Wildlands Peninsula in order to get close to the Divine Emperor of Death.

However, little did the Heaven's Warriors know that they were being duped with no or false information.

This was clearly a crime against humanity and the heavens, so if it was revealed that Esmond Stavenger was in cahoots with the Divine Emperor of Death, his days wouldn't be long. Even if he claimed innocence and managed to convince others that he was innocent, a bit of grueling punishment would be leveled upon him.

Therefore, Davis was sure there were remarkably few chances for Esmond Stavenger to betray him.

They discussed a few more things about the upcoming changes to the Realm Master's living space in the city and how everyone was banned from coming there unless invited.
